On the education sector: fill the vacancies, not the headlines
Speaking during the Punjab Vidhan Sabha monsoon session, Amanpreet Kaur Rai said more than 31,000 posts lie vacant and asked the government to fill them rather than add administrative load to teachers.
During the monsoon session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Smt. Amanpreet Kaur Rai — BJP leader from Halka Shri Chamkaur Sahib — said the Aam Aadmi Party government was doing politics in the name of an "education revolution".
She said more than 31,000 posts in the state lie vacant, which is affecting teaching in schools, and that instead of placing extra administrative burden on teachers the government should fill those posts and strengthen the education system. She also raised paper leaks, saying the claims made for the education revolution do not match the reality.
Keeping the future of Punjab's students in mind, she asked the government to resolve the education sector's problems without delay.
